GARBAGE POLICY

• Garbage is picked up twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays:

§         Monday:  Regular Pickup

§         Thursday: Regular Pickup and Heavy Trash Pickup

• Collection starts at 7:00 a.m. and should be completed by 6:00 p.m.
• Put trash cans by garage or designated “back door” area. Do not take to curb.
• All trash must be in cans or bags.
• Heavy trash such as bags of leaves, grass trimmings and bundled limbs should weigh less than forty-five pounds and should be placed at the curb on Thursdays.  Bundled limbs should be four feet long or less and be tied with string.   There is an additional charge for heavy/large items, which is the homeowner's personal expense.  Please call Republic prior to placing items curbside to discuss the price for this service.
• Old appliances such as dishwashers, hot water heaters, etc. will be picked up on Thursdays.  Any appliance having once contained freon must be accompanied by a certificate of freon removal verification as required by federal standards.
• All debris produced by hired workman should be removed by them, not Republic Waste.
• If a holiday falls on Monday or Thursday, trash will be picked up on the next regularly scheduled pick-up day.
